To “stay rose in dark times” is about a woman's ability to bring light through beauty, to grow gardens on scorched earth. It’s about allowing oneself to be vulnerable and soft in difficult moments, while still finding the strength to act — to do just enough so that the rose within doesn’t wither.
The collection is inspired by the collage painting of the same name, Stay Rose in the Dark Times, by artist Aliya Suleiman. In the world of floristry, the rose is seen as a standard of beauty — but we wanted to highlight that it's not just an infantile flower. It has thorns — meaning strength and character.
